Latin America

Training History
The main point of union between the countries forming the Latin America is its history, ie the type of colonization that were submitted, from the sixteenth century by European powers.
The colonization of Latin America was different from what happened in America Anglo-Saxon, that is, the United States and Canada. In these two countries prevailed what we call the settler colonies, while in Latin America there were more colonies of exploitation.
The function of the colonies, therefore, was to provide price below the mineral products or agricultural genres. Since this was to produce primary goods, ie products like sugar, gold, silver, diamonds, timber, etc. .- the very low labor costs used was one that worked hard and received little - thus enslaved the indigenous, and especially and black African, to be used as cheap labor.
In settler colonies, which were vastly outnumbered that the goal was to exploit the other. In this case, the settlers came to new lands, not for new lands to enrich themselves and not return to the metropolis, but for seeking a new home, a new place to permanent housing.
