Spain (Geography)
Spain or Spain is a European country located on the Iberian Peninsula. Its territory borders on Portugal in the west, the Mediterranean Sea, east and south, and with France and the Atlantic Ocean to the north. Geographically, Spain is party in the northern part of the Western Hemisphere.
The country is the capital city of Madrid. The country's territory covers an area of 504,782 km ², which is dispersed a population of approximately 44.9 million inhabitants.
Spain is ruled by a monarchy system of government, political power is divided into three: executive, judiciary and legislature.
Over 50% of the country's topography consists of plateaus, where the altitude has on average 600 meters above sea level. The Spanish constitution guarantees freedom of worship, so the main religions practiced are: Catholic (predominant), atheism, agnosticism, Islam, Protestantism, Mormonism and Jehovah's Witnesses.
